Maindee Primary School in Newport, South Wales, have been congratulated on their outstanding evidence for Peace Mala Accreditation Bronze Award. This is the first school in the Newport area to achieve this. We very much hope that more schools in the area will follow their excellent example.

The Accreditation Ceremony will be celebrated on Tuesday 3rd December. The school Peace Pals are now in the process of inviting local dignitaries to this event. The founder has already confirmed that she will attend, along with Norma Glass MBE, Senior Trustee of the Peace Mala Educational Charity.

Laura Roberts (our lead Ambassador for Peace Mala in Greater Manchester and Trustee/Director, and also former Headteacher of Woodheys Primary School, Sale) commented

“I was very honoured to read this evidence. It lifted my heart!!! It reminded me how Peace Mala accreditation reflects St Francis’ vision for a world of peace, love , friendship, caring for animals and the environment.

A document of high level evidence of a school committed to creating Global Citizens of the future!”

Many congratulations to the whole school who have contributed towards achieving this important award.
