An evening at Mal Pope’s Cappuccino Girls

Cappuccino GirlsIn Support of Peace Mala

13th November 2011 – starting at 7pm
The Evening Post Theatre – High Street – Swansea

“Cappuccino Girls in support of Peace Mala on Sunday 13th November was a complete sell out of all tickets. It was the biggest audience to date and an amazing evening enjoyed by everyone who attended. I would say without a shadow of a doubt that this show was as good as anything I’ve seen on the West End. The music, the acting and everything else was first class. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening and some of us will be coming to see the show again.

“A huge thank you to Mal Pope, all the cast and backstage crew for supporting us. We raised £913 for the Peace Mala charity. This will be put to good use in our important work with schools, youth groups and community groups across the UK and further afield.”

Three friends meet every day at their favourite café but when Eddie the new Brazilian barista walks into their lives things will never be the same again. Slowly but surely their perfect lives start to unravel. Will their friendship be strong enough to make sure the Cappuccino Girls survive?

The unique theatre space in High Street Swansea has been purpose-built to resemble a café bar; one which allows the audience to literally sit on the set while the story unfolds. At first it seems a little odd being so close to the actors, but as the minutes pass you wonder why all theatre isn’t this intimate. Being able to witness the actors’ emotions so closely – even seeing the steam rise from their coffee mugs – adds a new dimension to the watching experience.

Join us for a wonderful evening of great music and entertainment with Mal Pope’s recent hit musical, Cappuccino Girls.
