Peace Mala Founder, Pam Evans, commented,
I am very proud of the wonderful work that has been achieved by the pupils and staff of Christchurch Primary. The school has a significant cultural and ethnic mix with some pupils originating from China, Bangladesh, Libya, Croatia, Poland, Nigeria and Brazil. This has made the global citizenship activities within Peace Mala especially significant.

Helen-Marie Davies, Headteacher of Christchurch, commented,
We are delighted to have achieved Peace Mala Accreditation. As a school we work to become a beacon of hope and light at the heart of the local community. The vision of Peace Mala is entirely consistent with our Christian ideals where all individuals are valued and encouraged to respect and support one another in friendship. Working for this important educational award has enhanced many of the initiatives we have in place in our school curriculum. It has been an excellent focus for our work on bullying, prejudice, environmental sustainability and international links.

Pupils of Christchurch also reacted to the award:
Cian Lang said “I felt really proud of my school, it was a big award for us.

Mia Hernandez said “We have worked so hard for this award, it shows how much we do in our school.

Mollie Barnett said “We felt really special yesterday, it was so exciting to have all our special visitors. I love this school.

Khadijah Ali finally noted “Peace Mala makes the world a better place.
