Building bridges of peace and dissolving barriers as doves begin the journey to Brecon for special interfaith service (Cymuned Summer 2019)

A new article about Peace Mala’s International Interfaith Liturgy for World Peace, to be held at Brecon Cathedral on Monday 16th September, has been published in the Diocese of Swansea and Brecon’s magazine Cymuned.

The article in this edition of the magazine focuses on our Symbolic Doves of Peace. In preparation for our big event in September, we are calling all the doves back to Peace Mala HQ. During the liturgy, they will then be blessed and consecrated with incense and holy water by Archbishop John and Bishop Tom Burns of Menevia.

Our doves have made extraordinary journeys all over the world, to countries as far as China, Japan, New Zealand, Australia, Peru, Iraq, and South Africa. We hope that their future sponsor/guardians will take them on many more wonderful journeys to share our message of compassion and friendship throughout the world.

Physical copies of the magazine can be picked up from any Church in Wales in the Diocese of Swansea and Brecon, and you can also read the article online here
