Ysgol Penrhyn Dewi is a 3-16 Church in Wales school located on three campuses serving the community of the St David’s peninsula in Pembrokeshire, South Wales. They are the most recent school to start their journey towards Peace Mala Accreditation. The Headteacher, David Haynes, decided that the project would begin with his G.C.S.E. students in Year 10.
Last week, we were informed that all 70 pupils in Year 10 had made their Peace Mala bracelets from kits under the guidance of Ms Pippa Raggett (Assistant Headteacher). This was their message on Twitter:
‘We are excited to be involved with the awesome @PeaceMala project which promotes friendship, respect and peace between people of all faiths and none; all cultures and lifestyles. It’s intention is to remind everyone to treat others as you would wish them to treat you @TyrPererin’
We are so looking forward to Ysgol Penrhyn Dewi becoming the first Accredited Peace Mala school in Pembrokeshire.
